Week 2 Posting 2

I chose to do my culture on the dining area in the lafollette complex.  I have been a part of this so obviously I am going to give an insider observation on the dining area.  The sound, to start with, was very loud and filled with conversations because the time was around noon, and that's when everybody gets hungry for lunch and decides to eat.  The atmosphere was very relaxed.  People would go to their seats of choice, sit down, start a conversation, have a few laughs or expression of surprise, and then begin eating.  The smell of hamburger and pizza filled the air as that was the main dish for the restaurant.  If I were an outsider and never experienced this, I would probably me overwhelmed by the noise.  The smell, determining what your main dish is, could be either pleasant, curious, or disgusting.
